Tyler, TX (KETK) — For 32 years, Historic Tyler has put on the annual Home Tour in Azalea District, with six houses being on display for the public to view, and appreciate.
Now the six houses were located near Bergfeld park, with the furthest being about two miles away from one another.
Each year different houses are selected for the tour, and this year, historic tyler, the organization running the event, took requests from visitors for other possible historic houses in the area.
Now in order to be considered a historic home, it has to have been built after the last fifty years, and one of the homes on tour was built in 1951, so this was it's first year to be considered for the display.
Organizers tell KETK that by keeping this tour alive and growing, it also keeps the local history alive.
