Tyler TX — April is Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month. Local government and community groups are working across the state to call attention to this problem.
They want to teach people how to recognize and prevent child abuse.
Last year, nearly 66,000 Texas children were abused and neglected, and 231 Texas children died because of it.
