Schools, city, county offices closed today

East Texas — Most city and county offices, as well as schools, will be closed today for Good Friday.

The Longview Public Library and the city’s recreation centers also will be closed for the holiday.

The city compost site will be closed today, but open Saturday.

Garbage collection will remain on regular schedule, and Longview Transit, the public bus transportation system, will operate on regular schedule over the holiday weekend.

Residents with a water or sewer emergency are asked to call (903) 236-3030.
