AUSTIN, Texas — More than six years have passed since Vince Young crossed the goal line to cap Texas' memorable BCS national championship victory over Southern Cal.
A lot has happened since. The Longhorns have played for another BCS championship, Colt McCoy is now the quarterback most fans recently remember as being an all-time great, and the program has gone through a transformation after an un-Texas 5-7 season in 2010.
But even with all that change, there's one thing that remains from that night in Pasadena: Young is still having a profound impact on the Texas program's recruiting.
Look no farther than the quarterback prospects the Longhorns are looking at for 2014, when — depending on who redshirts — Texas is expected to have David Ash entering his senior season and Connor Brewer, Jalen Overstreet and Tyrone Swoopes all either sophomores or juniors.
