Nacogdoches, Texas — The Nacogdoches Film Festival, which debuts Friday, April 13, and Saturday, April 14, is expected to combine the efforts of first-time movie makers with the genius of classic filmmakers in a true celebration of Nacogdoches and Stephen F. Austin State University.
“Every filmmaker involved has a local connection,” explained lead organizer Ron Johnson. “They are SFA students or ex-students or lived in town. It’s all Nacogdoches. The purpose is to showcase them, benefit the film school and CASA, and promote Nacogdoches as a fun place to spend the weekend.”
