TYLER — 5:00 PM UPDATE: A man is behind bars following Tuesday morning's drive-by shooting.
Tyler Police Investigators obtained arrest warrants on Leon Luton for Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon, a second degree felony with a $200,000 bond, Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon, a second degree felony with a $200,000 bond and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, a first degree felony with a $750,000 bond.
Tyler Police investigators along with deputy United States Marshals began an intensive search for Luton. He was spotted in a vehicle that was stopped in the neighborhood behind John Tyler High School.
After conducting a search on foot for Luton, he was spotted by Tyler Police investigators and taken into custody without incident. He was later transported to the Smith County Jail where he was booked in for the arrest warrants.
Tyler Police have identified the suspect in the drive-by shooting that happened at M.L.King and N. Broadway early Tuesday morning.
The suspect is identified as Leon Lajuan Luton, B/M, 07/25/1985 of Flint Texas.
Luton is wanted for two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Bond was set at $200,000 each by Judge Kennedy.
Luton is still on the run and was last seen driving a white Chrysler PT Cruiser 4-door, unknown license plate.

Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any felony case.
Tyler Police are searching for the person responsible for a drive-by shooting in Tyler early Tuesday morning.
Police say that at about 12:25 am, Tyler 911 received a call from the Smith County Sheriff's Office about an aggravated assault that had just happened. The victims, a man and a woman, were both in a vehicle at the intersection of MLK at Broadway in Tyler when another vehicle pulled up beside them and shot several times into their vehicle, then drove away.
The woman was struck in the arm and taken to a Tyler hospital to be treated.
