tyler — This election, I hope we get some people voted in to our nation's capitol that sees there needs to be a change.
One of the things that drives me crazy is every time either side wants to pass a bill, they always have to go through the so-called non-partisan Congressional Budget Office.
I can tell you there is nothing non-partisan in Washington D.C.
It's all about politics and bureaucratic office workers who probably belong to a union crunching the numbers.
Now, Washington D.C. is finding out there will be no saving, just cost increases to Obamacare.
Most of this audience right now could have told you that 2 years ago before it passed.
But the CBO will put in any numbers it's given and say....ok.
The numbers from the Department of Labor come out every month with just as much fiction. We always hear of the labor department numbers, then it's leaked all over town the real unemployment number.
The labor department just throws out the number of people who quit looking for jobs and just uses another average.
This is insane, yet where is the outrage?
This would be like be getting you to work for me at a price, then when its time for payday, throw in
some crazy calculus and pay you a lower amount.
And the crazy part is I'd expect you to take it if I were the federal government.
Finally some sense. A California congressman is pushing a bill.
His one-page legislation, the REAL Unemployment Calculation Act, would require "the federal government cite, as its official unemployment calculation, the figure that takes into account those who are no longer looking for work," not only those individuals actively seeking jobs.
This is what needs to be done.
That's my point of view, what's yours?
