CHEROKEE COUNTY —
On Friday, at approximately 7:40 p.m., a man was traveling north on State Hwy 110 when he encountered a truck sitting in the north lane of traffic, approximately 1 1/2 miles north of the intersection of State Hwy 110 and State Hwy 204.
The man stopped his vehicle behind the truck in question and got out to see if he could be of assistance.
A hispanic man got out of the driver side of the truck, and a hispanic woman exited the passenger side of truck. The driver approached the man who had stopped to help and asked if he could use his cell phone. The good samaritan told the man that he would have to get his phone from his truck and began walking back to his vehicle.
The driver of the truck said something in Spanish that caused the man to turn back towards him.
The man approached the good samaritan and stabbed him three times in the right side of his stomach. One of the suspects took the victim’s wallet from his pants pocket and took his money. The suspects left in their vehicle traveling north on State Hwy 110 toward New Summerfield.
The victim described the suspects and the suspect vehicle as follows:
Suspect # 1:
Hispanic Male, 5-5 to 5-7, 170 to 180 lbs., Medium build, White T-shirt, Blue jeans, Short hair, Short goatee with trimmed style sideburns and beard that connect, diamond style earring in right ear
Hispanic female, 5-5 to 5-7, long black hair
Ford Truck, year model 1973-1979 body style; baby blue in color, single cab, possible exhaust leak (based on the sound of the truck)
