Service Learning will host recognition event April 19 for outstanding volunteers

Kilgore, TX — The Kilgore College Service Learning Department will host a service recognition event to honor KC students, faculty, staff, clubs and organizations for outstanding service accomplishments.

The event, held in conjunction with National Volunteer Week, will take place 1-3 p.m. Thursday, April 19, in the Devall Student Center Ballroom on the Kilgore campus.

“The purpose of the event is to recognize those within the Kilgore College community who serve, to encourage those who serve to continue their service and to inspire others to serve”, said Patty Bell, Director of Service Learning.

Award recipients were nominated by a student, an instructor or a staff member.
