Nacogdoches credit, debit card abuse traced to national problem

Nacogdoches, Texas — Authorities believe they have traced a rash of credit and debit card abuse cases to a credit card processing company used by at least one local business.

Wei Shan, the owner of Nijiya in Nacogdoches, confirmed the clearinghouse his restaurant had used was compromised, and credit and debit card information was stolen.

Shan said the business no longer uses that clearinghouse and has revamped the entire computer system.
