LeTourneau University students shave heads in support of friend with cancer

Longview, TX — When LeTourneau University honors student Julia Thurber recently shaved her head because of chemotherapy for Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, she was a little apprehensive, but soon discovered she wasn’t going through this struggle alone.

Several LeTourneau students also shaved their heads last week to show their support for the freshman mechanical engineering major from the Fort Worth area.

They even donated their cut hair to the same non profit group that provided Thurber with a free wig.
