‘Movies in the Park’ features “True Grit”

tyler — The Tyler Parks and Recreation Department continues the 2012 Spring Movies in the Park Series on Saturday, May 5 with a free viewing of “True Grit” in the Bergfeld Park amphitheater at 8 p.m.

Starring John Wayne, “True Grit” tells the story from the perspective of fourteen-year-old Mattie Ross who is joined by an aging U.S. marshal and another lawman in tracking her father’s killer into hostile Indian territory.

There will also be a best cowboy look contest at 7:30 p.m., so make sure you dress up with your cowboy hat and boots!
