tyler — This deal about the Secret Service is starting to concern me.
At first glance, I figured the president was right.
This was probably overblown with a few bad apples making a lot of decent folks look bad.
But, more information keeps becoming available.
This from NBC News: A woman identifying herself as the Colombian prostitute at the center of a scandal involving U.S. Secret Service personnel has called the group of agents "stupid brutes" who put partying above President Barack Obama's security.
"These seem like completely stupid, idiotic people," Dania Londono Suarez said in an interview which aired on Monday's TODAY. "I don't know how Obama had them in his security force."
So far eight agents have been fired because of this, but I read a report this weekend that says these women could have found out anything about the president and any secret information they wanted, if they wanted it.
In Columbia prostitution is legal.
These woman are not seen as women of the night, but folks who were not paid for service. But they are believable.
24-year old Diana Suarez told the Today show three men who approached and propositioned her and her friends were drinking vodka like it was water.
"They liked to show off their bodies, great bodies, well-defined abs," Suarez said of the men she first met at a nightclub. "They liked attention."
I don't have all the facts, but is this what the Secret Service has come down to? A giant overhaul is needed.
People behaving this way are a threat to the president and others who travel with him.
If these folks can' go without a drink for a few weeks, we've got trouble.
