Big growth drivers: energy, technology and manufacturing
Houston — Houston ranks No. 2 in the most recent Forbes Magazine ranking of top 10 big cities for jobs, and other Texas metro areas scored well, too.
Forbes notes Washington, D.C., with its government jobs engine, fell out of the top 15 for the first time in four years, and the big economic growth drivers are now in energy, technology and manufacturing.
