How a sport becomes Olympic

In order for a sport to make it into the Olympic Program, it must first be recognized and administered by the International Federation, who ensures the activity complies with the Olympic Charter.

The Sport must be widely practiced around the world and then if the IOC, (International Olympic Committee) votes favorably, the sport can be added Olympic Program.
