Gilmer — A man seeking political office in Upshur County was arrested and booked into the county jail Monday, records show.
Gary Wayne Henson Jr., 34, who is a candidate for Pct. 4 constable, was arrested by Gilmer police, charged with assault causing bodily injury family violence, and booked in the county jail at about 5:20 p.m.
