TYLER - In the days following Christmas each year, people often exchange their christmas gifts for a different size or different item all together.
But in this failing economy many are exchanging their gifts for something more monetary... cash!
Cathy Garton owns and operates Sid's E-Z Pawn Shop in Tyler, she says these desperate times are forcing many to sell instead of exchange.
Over at I Sold It in Tyler, which sells items on on-line on websites like E-Bay, Amazon, U-Bid and Shop.com...their customers aren't looking to exchange their christmas gifts either.
Owner Joe Lagman says, those looking to sell their gifts often bring them in without ever opening the box that they came in.
