Tyler, TX (KETK) — Fifty years of bucking, riding, and roping, and the Jacksonville Rodeo is still going strong.
And every one of those years, the Jacksonville Rodeo has been a part of the PRCA, and what the riders do this week in East Texas, will give them a chance to get to Las Vegas at the end of the year.
And the money this rodeo generates will go to providing glasses for local kids, and gift baskets for nursing homes.
Organizers tell KETK that they want to continue Texas' cowboy heritage, and pass it on to local children.
So it's educational, it's encouraging, and it's a fun way to spend your East Texas spring nights.
