Gregg County commissioner: Names published in error

Longview, TX — Incumbent county commissioner Gary Boyd said Thursday that a list of supporters published in a recent political ad inadvertently included some people who didn’t belong there.

Two of them, in fact, had died in recent days or weeks.

“We spent hours going over this list to make sure we didn’t make that kind of mistake,” said Boyd, the incumbent commissioner in western Gregg County’s Pct 3.

Boyd faces Bobby Joe Baker, Joe Parker and Eddy Holley in Tuesday’s GOP primary. There is no Democrat running.
