SMITH COUNTY - When you go to vote, on your ballot you'll run into a "party referendum" section.
It will ask you about various things and would like to see how you might vote on certain issues, but there seems to be a problem with some of the questions.
One East Texan tells KETK, "Yes they were confusing, I had to read them several times to make sure I understood."
David Henderson, the Smith County Democrat Chair says, "Both parties are tying to cram as much information into a short sentence as you can and so that probably complicates some peoples understanding of it."
The real question is why are they there to begin with, an answer many folks are still wondering.
Ashton Oravetez, the Smith County Republican Chairs says, "The state republican executive committee puts them there and to be honest one of the reason's they're there is to get the rino republicans to vote for some conservative things."
