Caller demanded money from past drug deal in exchange for toddler’s safe return
Houston — The Houston Chronicle is reporting; Investigators say the kidnapping of a year-old Alvin boy was allegedly tied to a drug deal debt owed by the father.
A suspect called the father’s phone Tuesday night a few hours after 14-month-old Manuel Recendez was snatched from his stroller as his mother pushed him on West Phillips near 2nd Street in Alvin.
