JACKSONVILLE - "I mean my whole livelihood has been in question the last couple of months."
Rob Gowin owns and operates Sadler's Restaurant in Jacksonville. It's part of a hotel restaurant business called the Landmark, and for the last 17 years, he's seen ups and downs, but lately there's been real cause for concern.
"I think everybody is still in shock over the developments this summer but those of us in the business community, you know sometimes things like this are needed."
The reason he's on edge, is that lon morris college, which helps fund the business, recently furloughed their employees, and many claim the school is now going through a restructuring process.
Gowin says he expected any day to receive a call that business could come to end, but so far, that hasn't happened. In fact, he says after speaking with those in charge of the school, there's reason to be optimistic.
"After a series of meetings with Lon Morris and the people running the show right this minute, I have every indication that I'm going to be here."
