Gladewater: Saddle up for round-up

Gladewater — Rodeo competitors from across the country are arriving in Gladewater for the 75th anniversary of the Round-Up Rodeo, which begins its four-night run today.

The Gladewater Round-Up Rodeo was founded in 1937 by local businessman J.N. “Jack” Yates, a Sioux Indian from North Dakota who moved to Gladewater during the oil boom.
