Tyler, TX (KETK) — It's a game that's easy to play, but tough to master.
And this weekend in Tyler, members of the Southwest Putting Tour, did their best to conquer the course.
And the players say this course, the Putt-Putt Fun Center in Tyler, is one of the toughest in the country.
But the competitors get to play with putt-putt pros like Jeff McDonald from Tucson Arizona, who has been a professional putt-putt golfer for forty years, and the defending Texas Open champion.
And they hope that having these tournaments will bring life back into the game that they say is suffering from a juvenile reputation.
But they're not afraid of the sport going away anytime soon.
The tournament will continue Sunday afternoon, with this weekend's winner taking home the grand prize of four-hundred dollars, and the title of 2012 Texas Open champion.
