Kilgore, TX — Kilgore College—Longview will introduce a new class called “Career Exploration” this fall, intended for students who need additional academic support and skills to succeed in the college classroom.
Career Exploration (POFT 1310) will provide tools, techniques and resources to help students make wise decisions about their education and help create career goals.
“One of the key components of this class is our ability to get students college-ready and career-ready by teaching them how to learn. We will help them identify and tap into their own learning style,” said Frank Mosley, instructor. “We craft every interaction to appeal emotionally to students so they can set career goals and be more motivated to achieve those goals. Hopefully, what we teach them will trigger their inner drive to achieve at a higher level.”
This class is institutional credit only and is not designed to transfer to a four-year institution.
“It will get students on the road to having success in college,” Mosley said. “The rewards for the diligent students are a happier and more fulfilling life.”
