U.S. — Government leaders were quick to react on Thursday to the Supreme Court's ruling on the Affordable Care Act, which upheld the law.
House Speaker John Boehner renewed calls to reverse the Obama administration's signature health care overhaul after Thursday's Supreme Court decision upholding the act, saying the decision "underscores the urgency of repealing this harmful law in its entirety."
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney agreed, and said he will repeal Obamacare if he takes office. Romney said, "I will do [it] on my first day if elected president of the United States."
Later Thursday morning, President Barack Obama acknowledged that the debate over his signature health care law has been "divisive" but added, "I did it because I believed it was good for the country."
