Nacogdoches, TX — Nacogdoches and Lufkin received some “big news” Thursday from the Texas Department of Transportation in connection with the much anticipated Interstate-69 project.
State officials Thursday gave final approval to approximately $1.9 billion in additional transportation funds to communities across the state, including $12 million to the Nacogdoches-Lufkin area dedicated to conducting the necessary environmental review and right of way identification for developing portions of I-69 in this area, according to a press release from the TxDOT.
