This Fourth of July was the first time that stores in several East Texas Cities were able to sell beer.
James Exxon in Henderson told KETK they did about $1300 in beer sales alone on Wednesday.
And customers are picking up more then a few cold ones.
Owner James Edmond says most people are also spending money on snacks, food and ice.
That means more money for him, and more tax revenue for Henderson.
In Troup AJ's Place Smoke Shop has also seen an big increase in comparison to last July.
Owner Albert Johnson use to just sell cigarettes and tobacco.
Now he's also got beer and alcohol on his shelves, and it's made for a spike in business.
