NACOGDCOHES, TX — A 24-year-old woman was stabbed with a kitchen knife Sunday after an argument turned violent.
According to the Nacogdoches Police Department, officers were called to the scene, located on the 1500 block of Dolph Street, around 11:30 p.m.
Officials tell KETK the victim was stabbed in the 600 building of Oak Hill Plaza after arguing with 50-year-old Mary Jane Jones of Nacogdoches. The woman was attacked when she went into a house with Jones. Officials say the victim suffered at least one stab wound to her stomach from a kitchen knife.
Authorities arrested Jones without incident and booked her into the Nacogdoches County Jail on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge. Her bond has not been set.
The victim was taken to a local hospital. Her condition is unknown.
