Longview crews contain apartment fire

Longview, Tx — The Longview Fire Department responded to an apartment fire in Longview Tuesday morning.

Firefighters were called to the Hidden Hills Apartment complex on Gilmer Road shortly after 10 a.m. Maintenance workers reported heavy smoke coming from the building.

Crews were able to contain the fire quickly by 10:30 a.m. Firefighters were able to keep flames to the bottom floor of the apartment where it started.

The four people who lived in the apartment were not home at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown and no injuries were reported.
