tyler, tx — The free brush pick up that began last week as a result of the weekend storm will be extended to Aug. 3. All limbs and brush must be placed at the curb and be less than eight feet in length.
“There was a significant response to the free brush pick up that was offered earlier this week,” said Dan Brotton, Solid Waste director. “Due to the overwhelming response, we are extending the offer until the end of next week to ensure we are able to finish picking up the storm debris.”
Tyler Solid Waste typically provides free brush pick up if the debris is bundled and less than four feet in length. However, because of the severe storm they are temporarily picking up larger debris this week at no additional cost.
Additional crews have been scheduled to provide the service.
If brush does not meet the guidelines listed above, please call the Tyler Solid Waste office at (903) 531-1388.
Any brush or limbs that are placed at the curb after next Friday, Aug. 3, must be less than four feet in length and tied in bundles that do not exceed 50 pounds.
