Glass Center to host Hip Hop Dance Camp

tyler, tx — Fly Kids, Inc. will host a hip-hop dance camp Monday, Aug. 13 through Friday, Aug. 17 at the Glass Recreation Center, 501 W. 32nd Street. The camp is for 8 to 18-year-olds; they will be instructed by professional teachers from the touring hip-hop Fly Dance Company.

The camp will take place daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunches, drinks and snacks will be available for purchase at the center; water will be provided. The cost is $95 per student or $75 each, for two or more students.

Campers will learn dance forms that incorporate break dancing, hip-hop dance and theatrical Broadway-style dance. The leader of Fly Dance Company, Kathy Wood, will instruct campers. As a professional dance instructor and choreographer, Ms. Wood has trained many dancers who have gone on to tour with dance companies from around the world.
