tyler, tx — Déjà vu all over again.
Now that things are settling down after the Sunday shootings in Wisconsin, we're still hearing of all the proposed hate crime legislation and anti-gun this and that.
All the simple band-aid fixes for a much bigger problem.
It's an election year, and many politicians will do anything they can to get in front of a camera and feign "I care."
I heard a former FBI investigator on TV this morning. He says guns are not the problem. Any sick person will find a way to hurt you. They usually plan and plan for months.
But a law against how much ammunition you can buy, they'll just wait longer and then carry out their madness.
The problem we have in this society right now is mental illness. No one is doing anything about that problem.
Let some nut shoot up a temple or movie theater and ignorant politicians want to take firearms away from
people at the Mineola gun club who have taken every basic gun safety course there is and shoot at paper targets.
Since Sundays shootings and the Colorado theater shootings, it's come out that the guy in Wisconsin was a white supremacists in a band.
He was known to the feds.
Now, its come out the shrink that treated the alleged Colorado shooter went to the cops before he finally went crazy.
Nothing was done.
We just go after firearms and outdoorsman because it's easy.
It's P.C.
You get to be on TV.
If you want to get to the root of the matter, it's hard. Its about mentally challenged people who no longer can get their way in the world.
They cannot function anymore. They snap.
There is your challenge.
Not the guy like me down the street reloading shotgun shells to shoot at clay pigeons.
That's my point of view, what's yours?
