Mount Pleasant officer resigns after sexual assault of a child arrest

Mount Pleasant — A Mount Pleasant police officer has resigned after being arrested in Upshur County and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child, Upshur County Sheriff Anthony Betterton said Wednesday.

Eric Jason Campbell, 41, is in the Upshur County Jail under $250,000 bond.
