NACOGDCOHES, TX — Two people left the courtroom crying Thursday afternoon and others shed tears as they heard testimony concerning the capital murder charges against Erin Leeann Belz, 26, who was seeking a bond reduction in the Nacogdoches County 420th District Court.
Belz is one of two defendants charged in the April 10 death of 32-year-old Joseph Thibodeaux. Belz’ bond reduction was denied by Judge Edwin Kline, and the conditions of her bond were tightened. Following the hearing, Belz pleaded not guilty to the charge.
