Lufkin, TX — Angelina County commissioners on Tuesday approved a standard 10-year tax abatement for “Project 800,” a proposal that could bring a second tenant to Lufkin’s industrial rail park off state Highway 103 east.
Jim Wehmeier, president/CEO of the Lufkin/Angelina County Economic Development Partnership, said that with the county’s action Tuesday, all taxing entities, including the Lufkin City Council and the Angelina College Board of Trustees, have approved the incentive package for the proposed project.
