Four Houston police officers suspected of violating the department's policies regarding traffic tickets have been relieved of duty and could potentially lose their jobs, officials said.
The HPD internal affairs division launched an investigation into the officers more than a year and half ago after they found an infraction made by the group regarding the issuance of traffic tickets, said Houston Police Officers' Union President Ray Hunt. Officials have not released the full scope of the investigation, but Hunt said that alleged policy violations did not involve any criminal allegations.
