Longview, TX — The price of a new kitty is purrfect today during Free Cat Friday at the Northeast Texas Humane Society.
For the next three weeks, and possibly longer, Humane Society workers are offering free male cats that have been neutered and vaccinated for rabies.
This week, three cats are available for free at the shelter, at 303 Enterprise.
Funding for the services is derived from community donations, said Stuart Russell, interim shelter director.
Typically, it costs about $100 to adopt an animal from the shelter for pets that have not been spayed, neutered, micro-chipped, or vaccinated.
