Police respond to aggravated assault in Tyler

Police responded to a report of an aggravated assault Saturday.

From Tyler Police:

On Aug. 18 at approximately 1 p.m., Tyler Police officers responded to 3200 Rolling Hills Dr. on the report of an aggravated assault.

Upon arrival officers contacted a 23-year-old black male who had a stab/cut wound beneath his left arm.

The victim was taken to the hospital with a a non-life threatening injury.

The suspect, a 25-year-old black male, was gone on officers arrival.

This was an apparent family violence incident.

Major Crimes Investigator responded to the scene for additional investigation.
