Lufkin ,Tx — Angelina County Pct. 1 Commissioner Rick Harrison continued his recovery in the intensive care unit at Houston’s Methodist Hospital on Thursday, according to hospital officials.
No other information was being released. Angelina County Judge Wes Suiter late Thursday said he had no further information, but hoped to hear from family members.
Harrison, 56, suffered a major heart attack Tuesday and was transported by helicopter to Houston’s Methodist Hospital in Houston late Wednesday, according to county officials.
County Attorney Ed Jones told The Lufkin News on Wednesday that Harrison had entered Memorial Medical Center-Lufkin last week for foot surgery but that the procedure did not go well.
