Tyler TX — A new research study by LifeWay says that only 19 percent of Christians read the Bible daily, outside of worship service.
So the question is, do you have to read the Bible to be a "good Christian?"
One local East Texas pastor tell's KETK that you don't have to read the bible to be a good Christian, it's more important to live the word of God through your daily life actions because actions speak volumes over words.
Senior Associate Pastor, Ken Warren, from Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler tells KETK that, "knowledge without action is useless."
He says, reading the Bible frequently is something he preaches, but reading it daily is not necessary, he says, " that's my opinion, I know some people's opinions may be different than mine."
He said the importance of discipleship and "Bible Engagement" is necessary to learn the word of God so that you can apply it to your daily life, but as for how frequently one reads the Bible or not is something that shouldn't matter, in his opinion.
Please leave your comments blow and let us know what you think, Do you read the Bible everyday? and if you don't do you think you are a "bad Christian" for not doing so?
