Longview, TX — Voters in Spring Hill ISD will head to the polls on Saturday to decide on a 13 cent tax increase to help offset a budget deficit due to cuts in state funding.
The district lost $1.3 million in state funding and is looking for ways to make that money back up.
If the tax ratification election fails then the school board will look at the possibility of eliminating the 15% homestead exemption to offset the costs.
