Tyler, TX — HELPING OUR MILITARY, Sunday Sept. 16, certified reality-based combat trainers and former military and law enforcement at the Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu/Lone Star MMA Academy instruct the U.S.. Army National Guard in Level 1 and Level 2 the US Army's " Modern Combat Program"
This group of more than 30 men and women, trained and learned combat skills to prepare them for boot camp, so they could have a leg-up on the basic skills needed before they are sent to basic training.
SGT. Joshua Sesters, Army National Guard Recruiter, tells KETK, "They're going to get to basic training, where a lot of people are just thrown into it—not knowing what to do, they are already going to know the first steps of the training that they're going to have to go through. They can basically start being a solder now verses having to learn how to become one when they get there."
