Tyler,TX — We continue to update you on the death of two-year-old, Jacob Kimbley, of Winona, TX. The toddler was reported missing on August 21, and the deceased body found August 22, near the Kimbley residence.
Investigation is still underway. The body was sent to Dallas immediately after discovery for autopsy results.
KETK spoke to Mitch Shamburger on Tuesday, Justice of the Peace, and he says complete autopsy results are still pending and can take up to one month.
KETK has been following up with Smith County District Attorney, Matt Bingham. KETK spoke with Matt Bingham on Tuesday, and he had no comment on criminal proceedings at this time.
Bingham did tell KETK, The Kimbley parents, David and Sabrina Kimbley will be in court next week for an arraignment and a pre-trial hearing is set for October 15.
KETK spoke to Shari Pulliam, Child Protective Services.
"At this time they're not going to be able to visit their parents, but hopefully they will at a later date. We haven't seen the any of the autopsy reports, anxious to look at those. We are still working the case alongside law enforcement," says Pulliam.
KETK spoke to a neighbor on Tuesday, she tells KETK that is still in shock and feels for the children. She told KETK that she really didn't socialize with the Kimbley's.
