Management firm takes over Kilgore golf course

Kilgore — Kilgore is poised to get in the private club business, after members of the City Council voted to hire a firm to operate and manage the former Meadowbrook Country Club. 

“When we started talking about Kilgore, we thought this is one of those rare opportunities to make a difference in people’s lives,” Eagle Golf Senior Vice President Kathryn Comfort said Tuesday, one day after the Kilgore City Council picked Eagle Sports from eight competitors that pitched their management services for the nine-hole golf course, country club, restaurant, pro shop and swimming pool.
