longview, TX — Gregg County residents can benefit from the upcoming rummage sale held by Mobberly Baptist Church in several ways, said Greg Scobee, sale organizer and church member.
“First of all, we’re taking donations, and a lot of people really feel more serene and at peace if they can rid their houses of clutter,” Scobee said.
Although the sale is run by church members, it will be at the Longview Exhibit Building at the Gregg County Fairgrounds, 1123 Jaycee Drive.
Donations will be accepted there from 8 am. to 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. The sale will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 28 and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 29.
“The second way this can benefit members of the community is because we’ll have a lot of high-quality, gently used items for sale at low prices,” Scobee. “While this is of particular benefit to people at lower economic levels, a lot of people just enjoy searching out bargains and have fun coming out to see what we have available.”
