Angelina Co. jury sentences molester to 40 years in prison

Lufkin ,Tx — “What is the loss of the innocence of a child worth?” prosecutor Dale Summa asked an Angelina County jury Thursday morning.

The jury answered that question with a term of 40 years in prison for 37-year-old Kevin Kathrine after finding him guilty of molesting a 10-year-old Hudson girl. The charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child stemmed from two incidents — once when he was living with her grandmother in the Hudson mobile home park managed by her parents in 2009 and again outside the trailer home her mother helped him get at the park in May 2011.
