Longview, TX — Tickets are on sale now for the NEEDTOBREATHE : THE RECKONING 2012 TOUR that will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the S.E. Belcher, Jr. Chapel and Performance Center at LeTourneau University’s main campus, 2100 S. Mobberly Ave. in Longview.
The South Carolina band has charted on mainstream rock/pop charts, but has had its greatest number of singles on Christian music charts. Band members include brothers Bear and Bo Rinehart, Seth Bolt, and Josh Lovelace. Ticket prices are $35 and $25 plus applicable fees. The band has released four studio albums: Daylight, The Heat, The Outsiders, and The Reckoning, with its last two albums winning Gospel Music Association’s Dove Awards for Rock/Contemporary Album of the Year in 2010 and 2012, respectively.
NEEDTOBREATHE has won other Dove Awards, beginning with 2009 “Washed by the Water” as the Rock/Contemporary recorded Song of the Year, and the band won Group of the Year, in 2010, 1011 and 2012, and Rock/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year with “Lay Em Down” in 2010 and “Slumber” in 2012.
The band opened for Taylor Swift on the North American leg of her “Speak Now World Tour” in 2011 and has performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
