TYLER — Update: Tuesday, October 16, 2012, 2:45 p.m., Tyler Police arrested Trent Durell Mumphrey, a black male, 23, for Aggravated Robbery. Mumphrey is responsible for the shooting of Dasha Webb at 628 S. Augusta, on September 30, 2012. Webb is reported to be paralyzed as the result of his gun- shot wound.
Investigators located Mumphrey at a residence on CR. 3111 N. in Smith County. Mumphrey was taken into custody and transported to Smith County Jail on a $500,000.00 bond.

UPDATE-The victim has been identified as Dasha Webb, a 22 year old black male.
He is still believed to be in stable condition. Also, the location of the shooting has been determined to be 628 S. Augusta Ave.
The Tyler Police Department does not believe at this time that this was a random act of violence.
ORIGINAL- This morning a little after midnight, Tyler police responded to the 600 block of South August Avenue after someone heard gunshots.
They soon discovered a man had been shot and was taken to a local hospital.
When officers got there, that man was still there sitting in a car.
He had decided to wait until EMS got there....he did indeed have several gunshot wounds.
Tyler police believe the shooters simply walked through the man's front door and started firing rounds.
The victim is out of surgery and in stable condition...anyone with any information is urged to call the police.
