Longview, TX — Area residents wanting to merge art and a little local history can do so today as downtown Longview’s historical central business district hosts the fall edition of ArtWalk from 5 to 8 p.m.
“This event hosts galleries, museums, restaurants, coffee bars and studios all exhibiting art or featuring musicians,” according to Renee Hawkins, executive director of the Longview Museum of Fine Arts, which will be participating in the event.
Admission to the museum is free during the event and will feature several exhibits, she said.
LMFA’s ArtWalk contribution features photographs by Longview resident John Petty and Jeannie Davis in the Wrather Gallery with Harvey Bott and Carol Gerhardt in the Premier Galleries. Charles Arnold and the Artists' Brainstorming & Critique group will have their work in the Hearne Gallery, Library and ArtWorks Foyer.
